Photo Contest Open to All Local Photographers

Local photographers will vie for the Peoples’ Choice Award during the February 28 BirdFest sponsored by the Bay Area Birders group at the South Padre Island Golf Course Clubhouse. A vote of those attending BirdFest will select the winner.

Photographers wishing to participate may enter a maximum of two photos. Submissions must have been taken in the past year and should feature nature photos of Rio Grande Valley birds, other wildlife, or native plants. Photos should be sized to 8” X 10” and labeled on the photo’s back with the photographer’s name, telephone number, and a local or email address. Photos will not be returned and will become the property of the Bay Area Birders Group. All photos submitted will be bound into a scrapbook and placed in the Laguna Vista Public Library for future students and residents to admire.

Photo entries may be delivered to the SPI Golf Clubhouse from 8:00 to 10:00 AM on Wednesday, February 25 and on Thursday, February 26 from 4:00 until 6:00 PM. No entries will be accepted after that date.
